Diamonds in the UK & Europe!
The Big Rip-Off!
The British and European public are paying
hugely inflated profit margins for diamonds. When you
pay around £3,000 for a diamond it will have cost
the jeweller around £1,000! And these profit margins
can't be explained away due to the long term investment
a jeweller makes in maintaining a stock of diamonds. The
jeweller will have requested a diamond from a dealership
in Antwerp or London that best suits your needs or desire
and that diamond or diamonds will be held on trust. If
you decide you don't want a particular diamond, the jeweller
simply sends it back.
In the USA the diamond market is far more
competitive and the profit margins are not kept artificially
high by the controlling diamond markets. On this website
you will see links to James
Allen an American Jeweller where you can purchase
diamonds and diamond jewellery safely from the USA and
save yourself a great deal of money by avoiding the grossly
inflated profit margins of the UK and Europe. Be warned,
though, the UK jewellers will tell you the diamonds in
the USA are of lesser quality. That is nonsense. Diamonds
are certified for quality, so don't be fooled! Certificates
in the USA and UK are of equal value, thus certified diamonds
in the UK and USA are of equal quality! Buying a diamond
from the USA will give you a lot more diamond carat for
your money! And you know how important size is... ;)
